Is this a safe treatment? Is there any risk of side effects?HILLO WAVE is a medical device approved for skin injection at the highest safety grade (Grade 4). Unlike regular fillers, its smooth, non-sticky formula carries very little concern of nodules after injection, and it is naturally absorbed into the skin, allowing you to undergo the treatment with peace of mind.
How much pain is involved, and what anesthesia method is used?This treatment involves relatively little pain. Topical anesthetic cream alone is usually enough for a comfortable experience with minimal discomfort, and for sensitive skin or certain treatment areas, mild local anesthesia can be added as needed to carefully manage any pain.
What dosage and treatment interval do you recommend?For a full-face treatment, 4 to 6cc is generally recommended, adjusted individually based on your skin thickness and degree of sagging. Since this treatment stimulates the skin's own elasticity-producing cells, repeating it 3 or more times at intervals of several months dramatically extends both the effect and its duration.
Can this be combined with lifting lasers like Ultherapy or Thermage?Yes, combining it with radiofrequency or ultrasound-based laser treatments (EBD) further maximizes the synergistic effect on elasticity. If both are done on the same day, it's most effective to perform laser lifting first, followed by HILLO WAVE.
Precautions after treatment
Temporary dryness may occur after the procedure, so apply moisturizing and regenerating cream generously, and be sure to use sunscreen whenever going outside.
To avoid generating excessive heat in the skin, please avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise for one week.
For stable recovery, please refrain from using scrubs or exfoliants for one week, and avoid strongly rubbing your face, such as with lymphatic massage.
To support collagen regeneration in the skin and prevent inflammation, please avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 1 to 2 weeks.
For a few days after the procedure, redness, swelling, throbbing, or mild tenderness when touched may occur—this is a natural part of the elasticity-building process and will subside within a few days.
