Face Stem Cell Q&A
When do the effects begin to appear after the procedure and how long do they last?Unlike fillers filled with artificial compounds, autologous stem cell treatment requires time for cells to settle in the dermal layer and regenerate collagen and elastin on their own. Usually, 2 to 4 weeks after the procedure, you can feel the skin texture becoming smoother and elasticity gaining. Because fundamental remodeling is achieved through activation of autologous cells, the effect lasts longer than typical skin boosters and has the advantage of strengthening the skin barrier itself.
Are there any side effects, embossing, or bruising that are severe?Because it uses ‘autologous stem cells extracted from one’s own blood and tissues’ rather than someone else’s cells or culture media, there is little concern about side effects such as immune rejection or allergies. Immediately after the procedure, there may be slight embossing, redness, or light bruising due to injection marks, but this is a normal reaction that occurs during the drug settling into the skin layer. In most cases, it subsides naturally within a few days.
Is there a lot of pain during the procedure? Do I need anesthesia?Due to the nature of the procedure, which requires precise injection into the facial dermal layer, slight stiffness may be present. Therefore, to ensure a comfortable procedure for our guests, we provide cream anesthesia or local anesthesia for a sufficient period of time before the procedure to significantly reduce pain. A pain management system is included during the procedure, so you can receive care with peace of mind and comfort.
Is it okay to go about my daily life or put on makeup on the day of the procedure?Immediately after the procedure, fine needle marks or redness may remain at the injection site, so on the day of the procedure, it is recommended to only wash lightly with water and apply a mild moisturizer without harmful ingredients to allow the skin to rest. It is recommended that you apply makeup and go out in earnest from the next day, when the microscopic holes on the skin surface close.
Precautions after treatment
To ensure stable settlement of the injected cells in the dermal layer, you should avoid any actions that apply strong pressure or stimulation to the treatment area, such as massaging, meridians, or using devices, for one week.
On the day of the procedure, when fine needle marks are closed, only light washing with water is recommended, and it is safe to start using full-scale makeup and functional cosmetics from the next day.
To protect sensitive skin after the procedure and prevent pigmentation, be sure to apply sunscreen when going out, and frequently reapply a mild moisturizer to help regeneration.
As skin temperature rises, inflammation or swelling may occur, so it is recommended to refrain from using saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and strenuous exercise for about a week.
Alcohol and nicotine dilate blood vessels and reduce the activity of immune cells, interfering with cell engraftment and skin regeneration, so it is recommended to abstain from drinking and smoking for at least a week after the procedure.
