Is the treatment safe? Are there any risks of side effects?HILO WAVE id is a safe Class IV medical device approved for injection into the skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, and has a very low risk of concerns such as nodules, allowing you to undergo the treatment with confidence.
Is the treatment painful? What type of anesthesia is used?It is considered a relatively low-pain treatment. In most cases, topical numbing cream alone is sufficient to ensure a comfortable treatment experience without significant discomfort.
What dosage and treatment interval are recommended? For the full face, approximately 4 cc is generally recommended. As the treatment is designed to stimulate the skin’s natural regenerative capacity, repeating the treatment three or more times at 1–2 month intervals can provide greater benefits for improving skin texture.
Can it be combined with lifting treatments such as Ultherapy or Thermage?Yes. Combining HILO WAVE id with radiofrequency or ultrasound-based energy treatments (EBD) can further maximize the synergy in skin tightening and elasticity improvement.
If both treatments are performed on the same day, it is recommended to perform the energy-based lifting treatment first, followed by HILO WAVE id.
